Detroit Theater
We are here to save our history. We were born here or have chosen to live here because of the many exceptional and diverse characteristics Lakewood has to offer. One of those great characteristics is the historic nature of the homes, businesses and the community. Replacing historic buildings with fast food chains is not why we live here. It’s not the Lakewood we know, It’s not who we are.
Mission statement:
To save The Historic Detroit Theater building from demolition.
To restore The Historic Detroit Theater to Its previous architectural and cinematic glory.
To reopen The Historic Detroit Theater as viable neighborhood theater and entertainment venue.
